In other words, you can’t be a confident person if you don’t like and respect yourself. If you don’t have this problem, let’s get started with the first tip.

Fake it until you make it

Yes, you only need to start with acting like you are so confident. Look at it like a game and try to play the role of a person with a high self-confidence level while you are hanging out with your close friends or when talking with your family members.

It will feel awkward and maybe funny in the beginning and sometimes you will feel silly, just don’t care about that and keep going in your acting. This will make you feel more familiar with that state of mind and personality, and this acting will become a reality if you give it enough time.

Smile

Make smiling one of your daily habits. Smile when you look at yourself in the mirror, smile when you are talking to people, smile when you make an error or when something awkward happens to you. No, it’s not dumb, smiling is scientifically proven to intensify positive emotions…

Just look at the famous personalities you know and you admire for their boundless self-confidence, you will see that they are smiling all the time even when they are talking with someone aggressive or when they are supposed to look embarrassed.

Add a sport activity to your life

You can take a run every day, go to the gym, do bodybuilding or aerobics, play football, dance, become a member of a martial art school, or workout at home… sports and any physical activity will not only give you a healthy body, but it will help you get rid of your negative thoughts, will improve your mood, and will make you feel more comfortable in your skin, and it will change the way you look at yourself too.

Take care of yourself

Eat healthily and tasty food, buy new clothes and change your clothing style, give more care about maintaining your personal grooming by brushing and flossing your teeth and bathing regularly, buy and use more cosmetic products and put more care into your appearance. By doing that, you are telling yourself that you too deserve attention, care and time, which will greatly increase your self-confidence.

Increase your competence and learn new skills

All the people around you have skills you don’t have? Have better knowledge than you in a field in which you are supposed to be equals in it? Stop being just a spectator of other’s improvement, and start improving you too. You only need to get rid of laziness and go for it! Take it as a goal to learn a specific skill, or get more information about something. But keep in mind that not all what people know to do, you are supposed to know too. We are all different, and we all have different strengths and weaknesses.
